There are moments in life that change everything.
For Kyla Gillespie, it came in a quiet but undeniable whisper from God:
“Return to me, Kyla.”
For more than a decade, Kyla had been wrestling—internally, emotionally, spiritually. Same-sex attraction. Gender dysphoria. Shame. Questions. Silence.
Eventually, that wrestle led her to transition and live as a man for six years.
But even after changing outward identity, something deeper remained unresolved.
“It all left me… with this hole in my soul that could only be filled by Jesus.”
What changed?
Not an argument. Not a debate. Not pressure.
People.
Followers of Jesus who:
Stayed when things were messy
Spoke truth without abandoning love
Walked with her consistently
“They never gave up… and I knew they loved me.”
Over time, that love led Kyla to something she hadn’t fully understood before:
The gospel isn’t about cleaning yourself up first.
It’s about coming as you are—and being transformed by grace.
Today, Kyla is walking in freedom, sharing her story around the world, and helping others encounter the same hope.
